Tao Zen Meditation Centre
Tao Zen Meditation Centre
The literal meaning of Buddha is "one who is awakened." Gautam
Buddha got his name after he was enlightened. Bearing his family name Gautam
and adding Buddha, he became known to the world as Gautam Buddha. Gautam
Buddha was the one who aroused the topic of Tao Zen. Tao Zen - the complete
silence which imbibes self realization.
It is on these lines, the Tao Zen Meditation Centre of Goa runs. Each year
hundreds of people join this Centre to relive themselves from their
outbursts. The Sounds of Om Mani Padme Hum meaning The Sound of
Silence, the diamond in the Lotus, resounds the walls of the Centre,
round the year.

The Ashram
This Centre is a bit different from the others. While other
Meditational Centers are meant for people to come and stay, the Tao Zen
Meditation Centre is meant only for travellers and tourists. People who
come to Goa every year, or come here for a short duration can take Tao
and Zen Classes. They can participate in the morning and Evening
Classes. However it is very clear there aren't any staying
facilities available in Tao Zen Meditation Centre.
The Concept/Ideology
Virtually there are two basic concepts on which this meditation centre
runs - Tao and Zen.
Tao tells one to go with life the way it comes. According to Tao there
are two main principles - Yin and Yang. Yang the male principle is
energetic, full of aggression, desire and ambition. Yin is feminine and
religious. The two cannot be mixed or converted into another, that is
Yang can never be religious. In Simple terms Ambition cannot meditate.
There is no technique used in Tao and Zen. Its against Nature, so there
are no rules. Its just surrendering oneself to the ambitions giving time
and being patient. Then only stillness can come.
Zen on the other hand is developing the consciousness. Developing
oneself through meditation. Its just like smelling the fragrance of
thousand flowers and being able to identify all of them. This strength
needs the imaginative power which comes from meditation.
Gautam Buddha is supposed to use both of these techniques to achieve
Enlightenment. Before him there were people who used their energies in
the same direction, but no was able to reach the heights which Buddha
achieved.
The Concept of Zen Tao
Zen Tao uses six technologies to achieve the ultimate God and inner
peace. Prana Yoga, Dynamic Yoga, Pranayama, Tibetan Yoga, Tibetan
Prostration, Dhyana Yoga, Tao - Zen Meditation and Simple Meditation. As
the Famous Buddha goes -
The mind cannot become Buddha, the Body cannot become Buddha, Only
what cannot become Buddha, can become Buddha.
All the above Techniques are used to achieve what is written in the
above line.
