Baga is a small beach located between
its two more famous cousins,
Colva
on one side and
Calangute
on the other. Baga beach and Calangute beach are situated close to each

both the beaches in Goa. Baga beach is connected to Calangute beach by a 3km
long road. This road is lined with hotels and guesthouses that offer the

fishing beach with brown sand that sees a lot of tourists across the world

grove of palms gently sways in the wind. Backwater crocodile and dolphin
spotting down the Mandovi River to the Zuari River is a favorite pastime for
the travelers at the Baga beach. The thickly forested banks of these rivers
are rife with mangrove trees and inhabited by crocodiles in the swampy
regions. Dolphins can be spotted at the mouth of the Mandovi River.The beach

flea market where one can shop for colourful Kashmiri handlooms and other
artifacts all along the road leading to the beach.

tourists at this beach in Goa. These water sports range from gliding to para
sailing to motorboats to wind surfing. These sport actvities start in the
afternoon when the wind is blowing just in the right direction and it goes
on till sunset.

» By Air: The nearest airport is at Dabolim, which is 29 km
away from Panaji. Panaji is just half an hour's drive away from Calangute.
» By Rail: The nearest railway station is at Karmali 11 km away
from Panaji
» By Road: Goa Baga beach is about ten minutes from Mapusa, and
thirty minutes from the state capital, Panaji. There are frequent buses to
Panaji and Mapusa from Baga and Calangute. Most buses from Panaji terminate
at Calangute and a few trudge further on up to Baga.

Goa has a
steady climate with little change throughout the year. December and January
are slightly cool and you may require a light jacket. April and May are the
warmest months. There are periods of heavy rain from June to October. The
temperature during the summers ranges from 75°F/24°C to 92°F/33°C
and during the winters it ranges from 70°F/21°C to 90°F/32°C.
