Its a rock cut cave, located on Pune
city of Maharashtra. Once you have reached Pune, cabs and tourist buses are
easily avaialable to take you here - the Jangali Maharaj Road - where the
temple is located.

The Caves
Its not a cave in the actual sense but rather it is a Shiva Temple.The
carvings on the outer building is of basalt. This black basalt rock has been
carved out in the form of a cave with a cube shaped room. It is this room
where the lingam (the statue of Shiva) is situated. There is a bell made out
of brass which hangs at the entrance of the temple.
There at the entrance is the circular arrangment of white stones with
Nadi Bull (ride of Lord Shiva) standing there. Inside the temple besides the
lingam there are also the beautiufl statues of Lord Rama, his better half
Sita, and his brother Laxman.

»The Museum : Just beside the temple there is
this museum which finds its place in the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS.
It is because of the single grain of rice that has 5000 characters inscribed
on it. The museum holds its own place though it does mon make for major
attraction for the visitors.
