Gangtok - The Buddhist Hub of Sikkim

Recently I have visited the capital of Sikkim Gangtok. Gangtok is situated on the bank of river Tusta, surrounded by mountains all over. It’s a pictorial representation of heaves, I must say. The lord of Orchids, a very beautiful place. Population wise Gangtok is a sparsely populated area. The weather is almost cold throughout the year with very cold weathers accompanied by snow falls.

The city is well maintained and administration is very strict. Heavy vehicle are not allowed in city area at any time during the day. The market place called ‘Lal Market’ is a hub of all kinds of culture. One get almost every imported as well as traditional sikkimesse souvenirs.
