I visited Banaras
that is "Varanasi" recently. Banaras is a wonderful ancient city
which should be visited to understand our culture and traditions. One can
see the old "Gurukul" culture which still prevails in some parts
of the city. Literature, Ganges and temples
are worth seeing. Sculpture and rituals attracts the mind and one can even
see the handwork of silk.
Handlooms of banarasi sarees, Pans, Sweets, Thandai and above that main
deity "Shiva" enchants a lot.
A Traveler should visit Varanasi to see what old India was, culture,
handlooms and open heartedness of the people. The curve of
Ganges and merger of "Varura"
and "Asi" rivers
