Chokhi Dhani – the made real village of Rajasthan has a special place
in Indian Tourism. With some branches Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, it is
one of the most welcoming place. The cocoon like cottages of Chokhi Dhani
are studded with mirrors, ikkat durries and metallic swing or jhula. Mud
tiles, clay urns, teracotta figurines, placed at the entrance of the
cottages make a wonderful place to stay in.
With 65 odd cottages, 500 dishes, conference hall, event station and
holistic wellness programs like
ayurvedaand
yoga; the Chokhi Dhani of
Jaipur makes for
a special place for any of the holidays.
In this Chokhi Dhani there are 65 cottages, eight haveli suits, a
conference hall, a chandi mahal bar and a bindola multi cuisine bar. All
these make enough for a comfortable stay. The cottages though have a look of
any
village cottage, but from inside they have all
the modern facilities like Jacuazii Bath, comfortable beds, table lamps,
round the clock internet facilities, showers and small conference rooms with
a set of sofas. Apart from these cottages there are also the Havelis which
have better space area, the ambiance of a typical heritage haveli and the
modern bath and stay facilities.
What attracts tourists from all over the world to this man made village is
the ambiance on a whole. In the evening there are light and dance programs.
Artists, dancers and musicians present their best in the amphi theater of
Chokhi Dhani. There are the Camel rides and the stalls of Rajasthani
Culture. The freworks, the tamashas (plays) and the rajasthani music add to
the beauty of the place. Here is a place which captures the entire Rajasthan
in on place.
Chokhi Dhani is not a place only for the tourists who come and stay here
for days. Its also a place for the business people who hold their meetings.
Here they get the banquet halls and the conference hall for the meetings.
Madani, the Conferene hall can accommodate upto 125 seated people. Sajan
Goth , the smaller conferene hall is perfect for accomodating 35 people at
at time. With the white board and the projector facilities, it makes the
meetings easier.
For those who want to try out the Holistic Arts, there is the Chokhi Dhani
spa which thows ayurvedic arts, aromatic scrubs, tangerine body wraps and
other
herbal therapies for
rejuvination. Steam and Suana Baths tooa are included.
But topping all are the 500 odd dishes which are served here. Rajasthani
Delicacies like Mirchi ka Salan, Gatte Ki Sabzi, Moongbadi, butter topped
bajra rotis, kesar halwa, pistachio
kheer
and other delicacies call its visitors again and again.
