Climate The Lakshadweep has a tropical climate and the temperature remains moderate throughout the year. November to February is the best time to visit this place. Way to Lakshadweep » By Air : Cochin International Airport links Lakshadweep with the mainland. Cochin is served by Air India, Indian Airlines as well as many private airlines to many part of the country and to selected foreign destinations. Agatti is the only airport in Lakshadweep. Helicopter transfer is available from Agatti to Bangaram Island Resort during monsoon and to Kavaratti through out the year. » By Sea : Four passenger ships- MV Tippu Sultan, MV Bharat Seema, MV Amindivi and MV Minicoy operate between Cochin and Lakshadweep. The journey takes between 14 to 20 hours. The ships offer different classes of accommodation; A/C Deluxe Class with two berth cabins, A/C First Class with four berth cabins and Tourist Class with A/C seating. Cafeteria and snack bars, entertainment lounge, video shows and upper-deck promenade etc are also offered in MV Tipu Sultan and MV Bharat Seema. Comfortable A/C accommodation is offered by MV Amindivi and MV Minicoy. The ship services are available during Monsoons, that is between 15th May to October 15th.
