Pinjore Gardens

The Garden
he Entire Pinjore Garden has been made on a slope, decorated and designed with numerous fountains. There is a channel which runs in the middle of the Garden. A number of fountains are fitted inside this Channel. There are walkways on both sides of the Channel lined with lush Green Trees. At the other end of the channel, there is a huge Pavillion. This Pavillion has a terrace from where one can have the view of the entire garden.

As the darkness falls, the entire Garden is illuminated. The trees, fountain and the water channel glow with the lights falling on them.

»Mini Zoo : This little yet well kept Zoo has various kind of animals and birds. From tigers, panthers to the peacock and parkeets all are there.

»Nursery: Little Saplings grow here. For all those varieties of flowers which grow in the Garden, this nursery seems to be the birth place.

» Japanese Garden : If you have heard about Ikebaana, then this is the place where you can see them. Bonasi is not a new word here.

»Cactus Garden: Also known as the National Cactus Garden, the Cactus Garden has over 1000 varieties of Cactus.

» Mansa Devi Temple: About 08 kms from Chandigarh, situated in Panchkula, it is one of the famous temples around.

» Morni Hills: Morni Hills are around 45 kms from Chandigarh. Situated in the Shivalik Hill Ranges, it is a good place for trekkers.

»Bhakra Nangal Dam: This Worlds Highest straight gravity dam, is 116 kms from Chandigarh. Near by the Dam, there is the famous Gobind Sagar reservoir. Its a great picnic spot with a range of Hotels and Restaurants.
