Gaurikund
Here is the place where it is believed that Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva (God Of Destruction), comes and bathes everyday before her prayers. It is a revered place and a dip in this Kund is supposed to be auspicious. Taking a dip in the Holy water of Gaurikund is supposed to ward away all the ill - luck . From Gaurikund one can see the top of Kailash Parvat (Mountain). To see the color changing Kailash, one has to go through Mansarovar which is in China.

Sanasar
A beautiful place to move around among the hills and trees, its best suited for picnics or evening walks.Just 19kms away from Patnitop it has a 6hole Golf course. It has an ambiance like the Gulmarg Srinagar. Known for its scenic beauty its a good place to spend out the day. You will love this cup shaped meadow filled with spruce and conifers. Apart from this for those who like the adventours of life can have the fun of para gliding and basic skiing here in Sanasar.

Patnitop at its best

Akhnoor : Who have not heard about Soni and Mahiwal - the eternal lovers; it is this town called Akhnoor they are associated with. Not only this, if you want to see the remenencs of Indus Valley you can very well see them here.
Kud and Batote : Another place flashing the beauty of nature, is best visited in the month of May - June. It has the deodars, the pines and the spruce to attract you. It covers itself with white beauty in the winters making it more attractive. Have a fill of your liking for the calm, cool and aloof place once you are here.

IF THERE IS A HEAVEN IN THIS WORLD IT IS HERE - goes the famous saying for Kashmir. Just Next to it is Patnitop. Simple, plain and beautiful - it has all the charms which a beautiful lady has. The more you see of the beautiful places, the more you will love the nature in one of its best forms.

Begin your journey with a visit to the place called Sanasar. Trekking , Skiing, walking, paragliding, parajumping; you will find everything here that is linked to adventure Its a place of picnics, food and fun. Its memorable with your family around.

Nearby is the Gaurikiund. It has the religious values associated with it as it is considered to be the bathing place for the Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. Take a dip in this kund (pond) and be graced with the blessings of the Goddess.

Around 19kms away from Patnitop is Akhnoor. Famous for being a place where the ruins of Indus Valley still lie its a place for historians. Though you won't find much of a hip - hollah here what you fill find is the calmness this place imbibes.

Suggestions

There is no need to take extra clothings with you as the rains are only in the months of July and Augus (only if you are here in the months of September - October). November to February end can be chilly - be loaded with warm clothes in these months.
