Preparation Method
Boil the dry green peas in a Pressure Cooker or on a medium heat till
one steam comes. After boiling the peas, put them in a separate vessel.
On the other side, blend the onion, ginger, garlic and tomatoes. Blend
them till they make a fine paste. Heat oil in a sauce pan and fry the
paneer until they turn golden. Once fried, put them in a platter. In the
heated oil add turmeric, red chilli, asafoetida and the paste of onion
and tomatoes. Fry these until light brown.
Add the pieces of Paneer and Matar (Peas) into this gravy. Pour the 1/2
cup of water to it and stir till a semi - thick garvey is made. Add salt
to taste. Serve Hot with Chapatis, Naan or Jeera Rice.

- Matar Panner is a pure vegetarian dish. It is
served in the same manner and no alterations to Non - Vegetarian
food are preferred.
- Though Variants of Matar Panner are prepared
still, Matar Panner makes for the best alternative. Still you should
try the variants like palak panner, palak paneer, shahi panner,
paneer bhurj, paneer rasala, paneer makhani, paneer butter masala
and panner amritsari.
- Indian Food is best served and savored when it
is peeping hot. Insist on having it the same way.
- You will find Delicacy like Matar Paneer in
North and West India ( places like
Agra,
Delhi and
Jaipur).
North Eastern States and Southern States are less in preparing this
delicacy.

part of the North Indian Food. Don't forget to try them.
- If you are a guest to a Vegetarian Host, be
prepared to have a Vegetarian Food. Do not insist on a Non -
Vegetarian Food. They might not like it.
