Who has not heard of Jawahar Lal Nehru - the First Prime Minister of India. Fondly called as Chacha Nehru by children , this museum made in the honour of Nehruji , is a reflection of the lifestyle and life of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Here you can hear the footsteps of Nehruji, or may be you can see him standing just across the table - its upto you how far you can run your imagination.

Just South of Rashtrapati Museum, there stands the Nehru Memorial Museum. Once the residence of the First Indian Prime Minister, now it has been converted into a Museum to keep alive the memories of Pundit Jawahar Lal Nehru. It is also known as Teen Murthi House.

Red Fort Archaeological Museum
As the name suggests, it is inside the Red Fort, Old Delhi. Its a memorial of Mughal reign. The personal belongings of the Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar like his silk robe and hookah have been kept here. The swords, embroided carpets, chess boards and the carved swords are some of the things to look out for.

National Philatelic Museum
The collection of old stamps marks this place as one of the unique places of Delhi. It has a collection of stamps including the first stamp issued in India. Its a different experience to visit this museum because of its uniqueness of collection of stamps.

»Gift Gallery : This is the most splendid of all. The royal Baggis (Chariots and Coaches in colors of red and gold are the ones where the eyes get stuck. Then there are two Silver Urns which are the largest in the world as per the Guinness Book of World Records. These Silver Urns were used to carry the Holy Water Ganga Jal by Sawai Madho Singh II on his tour to England.

»Armoury Gallery : Locally known as Sileh Khana it has on its display the richest collection of armoury in the world. It has on its display the Sawai Jai Singh s pistol, Rekhla (miniature canon), Gunpowder flasks, Howdahs (Elephant seat) and night polo ball. There is quite a range of them.

»Manuscripts Art Gallery : There is a collection of rare manuscripts. These are divided into two sections. The individual correspondences and the institutional records.

»Audio and Video clips : It also houses the memories of Jawahar Lal Nehru in the form of his Audio and Video Clippings which are the rare ones like Nehru s Childhood, His College Days, His budding days in Indian Politics, His speech and so on..

»Sound and Music Shows : The dictionary has been translated in eight languages..

»Execution of Mangal Pandey : These are played everyday except the rainy days, showcasing the life and incidents of Jawahar Lal Nehru. These are a must see for every visitor.
