It was built by a Architect of Jaipur in AD 1920 in the lines of Orchha Palaces as the Royal Adobe of the then Kings.

Visit Mandavi - Vijay Vilas Palace!

Epitome Of Magnificence:

This royal adobe was constructed by a local architect and craftsmen from Jaipur in AD 1920. This palace has a great similarity to the Orchha Palace and the Datia Palace.

Marble fountains and water channel among the sprawling gardens cover the palace from all sides. The carved stone jalis, colored glasses, stone carved walls make the palace beautiful. What is the most interesting is the Private beach of the Palace which provides for the air conditioning of the palace throughout the year.

Another most splendid thing about the fort is the central dome with Bengal Pillars on its sides.

Mandvi Beach : The splendor of the water lies here - for all the beach lovers its a nice place to settle down for few hours.

Bandhini Bazar : Bandhini (tie - dye) is unique to Rajasthan, and its true form is found in Mandvi. Visit this bazar to get a collection of bandhnis in various colors and cloth.

Mandvi Port : Its here where the ships are given birth to. It has a 400 yrs old Ship Building Centre from where they move on the waves to go as far as England. Fishing boats are also built here.

Bhadreshwar : Its about 68kms from Mandavi these Jain temples with fresco paintings, are amongst the oldest in Gujarat.

Kutch Festival : It is filled with fun, entertainment and cultural blasts on the shores of Kutchh. Dip yourself in this fervour and enjoy the colors of Gujarat. Feburary is the month in which it is held.

Modhera Dance Festival : There on the way towards the Rann of Kutchh there lies the Sun Temple and here in this temple this Cultural Dance Festival is held. Acclaimed classical dancers from all over the country come to show their presentation. It is held after the festival of Uttarayan in January month.

Its a desert around so its better not to have the kids around. They may catch the sunburns and the hot air which moves around here.
