This Royal Carnage takes you the Southern belt of India. From Maharashtra to Goa, this Royal Stream on Wheels takes you to the unseen places. As the train moves on it covers places down the Indian Coastal Line, giving you a experience filled with water and more water. Experience Luxury:

Enjoy the Royal Luxury in the 21 Coaches the Deccan Odyssey has. Out of the 21 coaches 11 are passenger cars with 4 coupes each. There are 2 Presidential Suite Cars with 2 coupes each. It has a Conference Car which can be converted into a Dance Floor in the night. There is also a Lounge/ Bar car and a Spa Car. In the Spa Car you can enjoy the Ayurvedic Massage, or a workout in a gym, visit the hairdressing sallon or relax in suana in the running train.
For the best dishes to be laid out on board, there are two splendid Restaurant Coaches which serve both Indian and International Dishes.
There is also a small letter box in which you can drop letters to your friends and family members.

The Spa

Itinerary:
Glance through the travel itinerary of Deccan Odyssey Heritage Train and get ready to relish the lavish lifestyle of the kings. The journey is for eight days and seven nights. Departure from Mumbai on Wednesday 1530 hrs evening from October to March.

Detailed Itinerary

Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus : Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus is the Railway Station from where your journey begins. The Royal Train Deccan Odyssey leaves for Bhokhle Railway Station at 1640 hrs sharp. It will be next day in the morning hours that you will reach Jaigardh. So the entire evening is for you to explore the beautiful Deccan Odyssey. You are at liberty to enjoy a drink at the bar or a cup of warm coffee in your room. Otherwise you can also explore the entire train which includes a Ayurvedic Spa. The dinner will be served on board in the Trains Restaurant.

Jaigardh : You reach at the prime morning hour of 0740 a.m. After breakfast on board, get ready for a ride in the Jaigardhs Jetty. Enjoy the boat ride from Rai Jetty to Jaigardh Jetty. From here you will be taken to Ganpatlipule along the sea side road. After a grand arrival at Gandapatiluate, refresh yourself with the Cultural Programme which has been especially arranged for you. The lunch will be served here after the Cultural Programme. Take a walk round here or just lie down. After the evening tea get back in your coach to reach Ratnagiri. Ratnagiri is a small sea side village. Enjoy the beauty of the village as the bus passes by it and takes you towards Deccan Odyssey. The rest of the evening is your on the train. You can spend the evening in the trains Spa relaxing your muscles. The dinner with exotic Indian Dishes will be served on board.

Sindhuburg : Sindhuburg is a ancient city, a place which was known as Sindh in the olden days. The Relics of the city still wait for the people to come and see the past. After a heavy breakfast on board, you will be taken to Sindhuburg City. From here you will be taken to Malvan Jetty. Here in the Malvan Jetty lies the Sindhuburg Fort. After seeing the beautiful fort which is not much huge in size leave for Tarkali by Air Conditioned Coach. See the vivid images of India in the form of Cultural Program arranged here. Savour the lunch at the Tarkali Beach. After this you will be taken to Tarakali Jetty for boating in for an adventurous Boat Ride in the Tarakali Creek. The Boat Ride will take you upto Walawal. After a refreshing tea at this stop, get on the coach to reach Sawantwadi City. Spend your next few hours visiting the Shilpgram which proposes the best of the Indian Village Culture. After the visit to the Art and Craft Bazar here get back to the Sawantwadi Railway Station where the Royal Deccan Odyssey waits for you. Get aboard for Dinner and rest. The morning shall see you at Goa - the land of Beaches.

Goa : In the morning hours of 07 : 30 a.m. you will reach Karmali Railway Station. Breakfast will be served on board. Board the Air Conditioned board to visit the Old Goa which is a land of Goan Churches. Here you will get to the best of Goan Beaches, the Basallica of Bom Jesus Churches, the Saint Cathedral Church and the St. Francis of Assissi . Also visit the Goan Museum and Fontanhas the Latin Quaters of Panjim, the Capital of Goa. In the afternoon you will taken to one of the best Goan Hotels near one of the best beaches of Goa. The rest of the time and lunch will be covered here. In the evening get on the coach to reach the Railway Station. Get on the train where you can rest at ease and have dinner. The night is for you to sleep.

Kolhapur : Wake up to the early call for tea at 0700 a.m. Breakfast will be served on board. After the breakfast you will be taken for sight-seeing of Kolhapur City. See the beautiful New Palace, City Museum, Bhavani Mandap Mahalaxmi Temple and Shalini Palace. After this watch the Cultural Programmes and visit the Handicrafts Stalls. In the afternoon depart for the Kohlapur Railway Station where you get back on the Deccan Odyssey. The train shall depart for Pune City as the lunch is served on board. Around 1930 hours you will reach Pune. Board the Coach to see the Raja Kelkar Museum. On the route you can see the peaceful City of Pune. After this you will be taken back to Pune Railway Station from where you will board Deccan Odyssey. The onward journey is towards Aurangabad. The Dinner will be served on board.

Aurangabad : You will reach Aurangabad Railway Station at the breakfast. be ready with your purse packed as soon after the on board breakfast you will be taken to the coach for sight seeing of the city. First place you will see is the Daulatabad Fort from where you will be taken to see the worlds most renowned caves - Ellora Caves. After this move on for the onwards journey to Aurangabad where you will be seeing Bibi - Ka - Makbara. For those who do not want to see the Bibi - Ka - Makbra have the option of going back to the train. In the evening you can shop for Indian Souveniers in the local market. At around 1700 hrs, get back to Deccan Odyssey through the coach waiting for you. At 1800 hrs the train will depart for Jalgaon. Dinner will be served on board.

Jalgaon : After an early breakfast on board at 07 : 00 a.m. board the coach to see the Ajanta Caves. This Buddhist Caves are the first examples of Rock Cut Architecture in India and have many carvings of Buddha made by the Buddhists Monks of that time. After seeing the caves, sit in the coach to go back to the train. The lunch will be served in board. Around 1345 hrs you will reach Nasik. After reaching Nasik you will be taken for sight-seeing to Panchwati Ghats and Asian. Return to Deccan Odyssey Train by 2030 hrs. The train departs at 2230 for Mumbai. The diner will be served on board.

You will reach Mumbai at 08 15 a.m. We will say adieu to you after breakfast on board.

Half fare for children between 5 and 12 years of age. 10 % surcharge plus 3 % service tax which can change as Govt. of India rules.
Tickes have to be booked days before the Train begans. The train begans in the month of October and runs till March. For the rest of the months, the train is kept for maintenance. Ticket booking depends on the availability.
The fair of train includes things like on board Deccan Odessey Train comforts, travel and all meals. Conducted sight seeing tours, entering monumental ticket fee, parks, palace and Cultural Programmes. The train begins from Mumbai and ends at Mumbai. You will have to reach the Mumbai Railway Station on your own at least an before the departure of the train.
