Itinerary:Glance through the travel itinerary of Heritage on Wheels Heritage Train and get ready to relish the lavish lifestyle of the kings. The journey is for eight days and seven nights. Departure fromJaipur on Tuesday and Friday 1530 hrs evening from October to March. Day 1:Jaipur Day 2: Bikaner Day 3:Tal Chappar and Shekhawati Day 4:Jaipur Detailed Itinerary
Jaipur : Reach the Jaipur Railway Station. The train shall leave the Jaipur Station at 18 : 30 hrs but you are supposed to report at the station at least 1 and 1/2 hour before the departure. The evening is for you to explore the Royal Carnage. Spend the night in the comforts of your coach enjoying the Royal ambiance. You will reach Bikaner early in the morning, so set your alarm clock for a early wake up. Bikaner : By 06:00 a.m. in the morning you will reach Bikaner. Wake yourself to a warm cup of tea and get ready for sight-seeing. After the heavy breakfast on board, get on your air conditioned coach to see the Jain Temple. Look out for the beautiful carvings in the white stone carved out Jain Temple. Enter the temple barefoot as shoes are not allowed inside any of the Indian Religious Places. After this get on the Royal Transportation of Rajasthan - the Tongas. These Tongas will wake you to the Royal Havelis. Bikaner is famous for its ages old Havelis or Mansions. Some of these Mansions are as old as 100 years. Look out for the paintings and carvings on the walls. Some of these also have the intricate carvings too. Take photographs only with permission of the residents of the Mansions. After seeing the Havelis get back on the coach to see the Bikaner Fort. See the royal rooms and the Royal Chariot in the Bikaner Fort. Ask the guide for more details. From the fort you will be taken for Shopping Spree. Shop here for Indian Souveniers like Miniature Painting, Rajasthani Mojaris and the Ethnic Indian Jewellery which is famous of the region. Get back for lunch on board. After lunch and a little rest get back on the coach to be at the Camel Farm. From here you will be taken to Lalgarh Palace. Made in Red stone, here you can either take a walk around the Palace or rest in the lawns for the next 20 min. After this evening tea will be served. In the evening depart for Gajner by Air Conditioned Coach. See the Gajner Palace . This Desert Gem was built by Maharajah Ganga Singh. Situated at the shores of lakes , surrounded by lake, it attracts a lot of birds in the winter season. Dinner at one of the best Hotels of Gajner from where you shall be taken back to the Heritage On Wheels. By 22: 30 the Royal carnage will proceed further. Spend the night taking a deep sleep in the coach. Padiyara : At about 07:00 a.m. you will arrive at Padiyara. After a quick tea, get on the coach to began for Black Buck Sanctuary. In the Sanctuary you can also see Desert Foxes and Desert Cats. Don't miss out the Bougainvilleas and exotic peacocks which throng around all the time. Our Guide take you for a round of the Sanctuary where you will see some of the rare birds. Back to the Train by 09 : 00 a.m. for breakfast on board. Meanwhile Heritage on Wheels will take you towards Ramgardh and Mehnsar where you will do the sight-seeing. Back to the Train for Lunch and further going towards Mandawa. Sight-seeing at Mandawa. From here you will be taken to Nawalgardh where you can see the town of Rajasthan. Here you will also get to see the Roop Niwas Palace which is a true showcase of the Rajasthani Culture. The Dinner will be on board which includes the exquisite Rajasthani Dishes. Jaipur : You will be back to Jaipur at 006:30 hrs by Heritage on Wheels.
