Delhi Cantonment Detailed Itinerary
Delhi Cantonment : This small Railway Station in New Delhi is
the beginning place of your Royal Journey on Royal Orient Heritage
Train. Board the Train here in the evening at 1500 hrs. to leave for
Udaipur city in Rajasthan.
Udaipur and Chittoragardh : The morning sunshine will see you in
the city of lakes - Udaipur. After the bed tea and heavy breakfast on
board, get on the air - conditioned coach for sight-seeing of the city.
See the
Udaipur
Lake Palace and other nick - knacks of the town. After lunch in
one of the Palaces, be on the coach to move for Chittoragardh.
Chittoragardh, the most defining places filled with real life stories of
heroism, bravery, love and sacrifice has its history written in its
castle. Here you will get to see the Chittoragardh Castle. In the
evening you will be back on board. The dinner will be served on board as
you move for the onwards journey to
Junagradh and Veraval : Arrive at Junagrdh at 1400 hrs.
Junagardh is a historical place. Get on the coach to see Ashokan Rock
Edifics, Darbar Hall Museum and Mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khanji. Leave
Junagardh at 1600 hrs and reach Veraval by coach which is 6 kms from
Junagardh. Here you will be taken to the world famous Somnath Temple.
Return to Royal Orient in evening. for rest and stumpuous dinner.
Sasangir/ Dilwara : You will reach Sasangir early in the morning
at 06:30 a.m. After the bed tea and breakfast on board, get ready to be
on the air conditioned coach to reach Sasangir. Here you will be take on
a Jungle Safari in
Gir National
Park. Gir National Park is famous for its Asiatic Lion. After this
we will take you to Dilwara which is famous for its Dilwara Temples. In
Dilwara you can also see the St. Pauls Church, Diu Fort and the Ahmedpur
Mandvi beach. The dinner will be served on board.
Palitana/ Sarkhej : You will reach Palitana early in the morning
by 0740 hrs. After the breakfast you will be taken by a air conditioned
coach to the famous Jain Temples at Shatrunjaya Hills. After visiting
the Jain Temples, get on board to see the Vishalla Village. See the
typical Gujarati Culture in the Vishalla Village where the traditional
culture has been kept intact. From here you will be taken to Ahmedabad
city by Sarkhej Highway. By 1905 hrs you will reach Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad : The night stay in Ahmedabad city will be in one of
the best hotels of the city. Get up early in the morning with a
refreshing tea. After breakfast get on the air conditioned coach to see
the major tourist attractions of Ahmedabad City. See Adalaj Stepwell,
Gandhi Ashram, Calico museum of Textiles and Sidi Sayyad's Mosque, which
attract lakhs of tourists each year. The lunch will be in one of the
best restaurants of the city. After sight-seeing in the evening you will
be taken to the city for Shopping. Buy some of the most delicate pieces
of jewellery and ethnic clothings here. The night is for you to rest.
The dinner will be served on board.
Jaipur : By 11 : 15 morning next day you will reach Jaipur, the
Pink City. Here you will be taken to see the most spectacular buildings
of Jaipur. See the history in buildings like Hawa Mahal, City Palace,
Lake Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Maharajah Sawai Singh Madho Museum.
The lunch will be served on board. After this take a tour of the markets
of Jaipur City where you can do shopping of the Indian Souveniers. In
the evening get back on the coach to be back to Royal Orient. The dinner
will be served on board.
Early morning you will reach Delhi Cantonment Station. Here we will bid
adieu after the morning tea.
